Green Mobility Scheme - Incentive Guidelines
Green Mobility Scheme: Driving Sustainable Business Transport Solutions
The Green Mobility Scheme, issued by Malta Enterprise, is designed to accelerate the transition to sustainable transport solutions for businesses. With a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, this initiative aims to support enterprises in adopting cleaner transportation methods, aligning with the EU’s climate goals.
Eligible businesses can benefit from financial grants and tax credits to help with the costs of leasing electric or hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles and setting up recharging infrastructure. These measures are available to businesses registered with the Malta Business Registry, employing at least five full-time employees, and having no outstanding VAT, income tax, or social security dues.
Support for recharging infrastructure includes covering up to 100% of the interest on loans during the first three years and tax credits based on the costs incurred for installing or upgrading recharging stations. Aid intensity for this support is capped at 20% of eligible costs, with additional increases available for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Businesses may also apply for tax credits on the leasing of clean or zero-emission vehicles for a period of up to 36 months. The scheme covers vehicles powered by electricity or hydrogen, and support is available to both large and small businesses, with tax credit intensities ranging from 20% to 60%, depending on business size.
The Green Mobility Scheme will run from 1st January 2024 to 30th December 2026, with applications accepted until 30th September 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tri-Mer Services invites you to explore the Green Mobility Scheme as a step toward a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future. Join us in transforming Malta’s transportation landscape, together.
